Police officers eventually arrested Alex Domingo Pablo on Saturday in Homestead. He allegedly said he was from Guatemala and had been living in the area.

According to an arrest report, Domingo was driving a white Dodge Charger when undercover police officers in an unmarked unit noticed him.

Domingo “passed us on the left into oncoming traffic” along Southwest Fourth Street and turned northbound into Second Avenue while “accelerating and traveling at a high rate of speed,” police reported.

Domingo “crossed over railroad tracks and nearly lost control” of the Charger before crossing West Mowry Drive “while gaining speed.”

When a marked unit stopped Domingo at Northwest Eighth Street, he allegedly put the car in reverse, then in drive, “turned the tires to the left and began to flee” again.

Domingo eventually “lost control and crashed into two unoccupied vehicles” at 421 NW 12 St., “came to a stop” at 406 NW 12 St., and “exited the vehicle with his hands up,” according to police.

Officers arrested Domingo and took him to the Homestead Hospital before taking him to the police department’s headquarters and then to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center.

Domingo, also known as Alex Domingopablo, was accused of aggravated assault on a police officer, fleeing and eluding police, and driving without a license.

On Tuesday, Domingo’s documented arrest was not in the county’s court or inmate’s records.
