Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro has done a bit of everything for the team this season.
He’s been Miami’s most consistent player and maintained a high level of play amid the drama surrounding Jimmy Butler and the heat this season.
Now he’s being recognized in a very big way.
On Thursday, Herro was announced as a selection for the NBA All-Star Game.
This season, NBA All-Star Weekend is taking place in Chicago, with the game scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 16.
As of Thursday, Herro was averaging 24.1 points on 47.4% shooting to go with 5.6 rebounds and 5.4 assists, all career highs.
He is also shooting 40% from three-point range, another career first.
Herro and the Heat will be back in action Saturday when they begin a four-game road trip in San Antonio.
