The city’s “Reality Check” campaign, a reality show parody, includes a photo of a woman wearing a bathing suit on the beach crying next to a list of warnings.

From March 13 to 16 and March 20 to 23, the towing rate will be $516 and there will be a flat $100 parking rate.

Miami Beach Mayor Steven Meiner said the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office and Florida State Troopers will be on the beach to help enforce order.

“We had too many years of violence, stampedes, unfortunately we saw fatal shootings in the past but fortunately we cleaned that up,” said Meiner.

Police officers will be enforcing a new traffic flow with two checkpoints on Fifth Street from Thursday evening to Sunday in South Beach.

Beachgoers will also have to go through checkpoints near Ocean Drive at Fifth, 10th, and 12th streets. The city prohibits smoking on beaches or in parks, marijuana, and alcohol consumption in public.

The city always prohibits having cigarettes, coolers, glass containers, styrofoam, plastic straws, inflatable devices, loud music, tents, tables, or balloons on the beach.

The city also banned short-term rentals, including those from Airbnb and VRBO, for less than six months and a day.

Liquor stores in the Entertainment District will have to close at 8 p.m.
