Surveillance video shows the crash on Saturday at Northwest 170th Street and 37th Avenue.

Police said a black Kia Sorento plowed into a white Nissan Altima, which then crashed into a gray Cadillac Escalade.

The five people who died at the scene were in the Nissan Altima. Detectives arrested the driver of the Kia Sorento.

One man recorded video at the scene just moments after the collision.

“I was one of the first guys (there). You know, knock the door, knock the door, push the door, but the door, it was locked,” he said.

Witnesses ran over to try and save the victims.

All three vehicles involved were heavily damaged.

“Right when I was parking, I hear like a boom,” the witness who recorded the video said.

An Opa-locka police officer heading to work also happened to witness the crash and helped arrest one of the drivers, identified as 25-year-old Antonio Wilcox Jr., who now faces five counts of vehicular homicide.

A small memorial has been set up at the scene of the crash, honoring the lives lost.

Detectives suspect speed and driving under the influence were causal factors.
