Dolly and Mini-Dolly Are Beggin’ Please, Please, Please

On February 13, Dolly Parton and the team behind her upcoming musical biopic posted a video showcasing the 15 contenders being flown to New York to audition to play her in Dolly: An Original Musical. Then, the next very day, she posted a full music video with her actual mini-me, Sabrina Carpenter. Cast her! The two performed a new version of Carpenter’s hit “Please Please Please” as part of the deluxe edition of Short ’n’ Sweet, released February 14. The one difference between the two women? While Carpenter loves dropping a mother F-bomb in the direct center of her chorus, in Mrs. Parton’s presence, that lyric gets changed to “Like the others.”

Other songs on the deluxe edition include “15 Minutes,” “Couldn’t Make It Any Harder,” “Busy Woman,” and “Bad Reviews.” Well, we hope Carpenter doesn’t get any bad reviews when she stars in Dolly. Please, please, please?
