Pedro Pascal Comes Out as Domingo’s Gay Brother on SNL

Saturday Night Live’s 50th-anniversary special has been a nostalgia trip. The show has brought back cast members, iconic guests, and recurring sketches from seasons past. It also brought back a beloved recurring sketch from, like, a month or two ago, hauling out Domingo’s sweet ass (Marcello Hernandez) for another banquet-hall event interrupted by another modern song parody. Hearkening back to the ancient days of the very first Domingo sketch back in October 2024, in which Ariana Grande played a bridesmaid singing an “Espresso” parody about a bachelorette weekend affair, Sabrina Carpenter donned the ugly bridesmaid gown this time. The vow-renewal ceremony’s “Defying Gravity” parody is perfectly terrible, with lyrics like “She’s finally learned what is monogamy.”

But the big moment comes later, when a group of groomsmen (heartthrobs Bowen Yang, Andy Samberg, Kyle Mooney, and Beck Bennett) sing an “Espresso” parody of their own, about their buddy’s own bachelor-weekend transgressions with Domingo’s gay brother, played by Pedro Pascal. Pascal takes the mic, points to Andrew Dismukes, thrusts sensually at him, and sings, “Matthew’s my guy, said he’s not bi, but we did hook up though.” Pascal looks like he’s having the time of his life, as are everyone else in the sketch, which also features appearances from Bad Bunny, Molly Shannon, and Martin Short. It’s the Avengers Endgame of the Domingo Industrial Complex. Now maybe let’s let the man rest until, like, Addison Rae is the SNL musical guest.
