Uh-oh! 9-1-1’s Athena Grant Is Going on Another Cruise

Brave! Athena Grant is once more taking to the high seas, something I wouldn’t do after my honeymoon cruise ship flipped and I almost drowned. Two different franchsises within the greater Ryan Murphyverse are crossing over: 9-1-1 and Doctor Odyssey. According to Deadline, the stories will intersect when Grant (Angela Bassett) embarks on the Odyssey during Casino Week and suspects a heist is afoot. “Enlisting Max’s help, Athena raises the stakes in a dangerous game where not everyone will end up with a winning hand,” the logline reads.

Ryan Murphy shows tend to mix and mingle within franchises, what with AHS: Apocalypse being one giant crossover ep and EMTs from the various 9-1-1’s visiting each other’s turf. But this is the first cross-franchise crossover. Now the possibilities are endless. God forbid, if Athena ever divorces Bobby, Kim Kardashian’s firm from All’s Fair could represent her. Nurse Ratched could do CPR training on the upcoming 9-1-1 Nashville. Klaine could go on the Odyssey for Broadway Week. Suck it, MCU. There’s a new multiverse in town, and Sarah Paulson is all over it.
