Say hello to Kenny Huy Quan. Yes, that is Ke Huy Quan’s voice in the second episode of The White Lotus season three. The actor confirmed the news himself by reposting an Instagram Story from a publicist. Quan plays Kenny, who committed a financial crime with an assist from Timothy Ratliff, played by Jason Isaacs. A journalist is investigating Timothy’s involvement while he’s stuck in Thailand’s time zone at the titular anti-phone resort. He’s so stressed that he doesn’t seem to notice or care about the weirdly incestuous vibe that his kids have going on. But as upset as he is, he can’t compare to Kenny, who says “fuck” so many times that it almost feels like a tribute to the late Logan Roy. Federal agents raided Kenny’s office thanks to a “whistleblower bitch,” so he’s got bigger problems than a piece in The Wall Street Journal.

This isn’t the first time that a celebrity has made an uncredited phone call cameo on The White Lotus. Laura Dern picked up as estranged, fully offscreen wife Abby last season. Is Quan’s role also going to be voice only? Let’s consider the evidence. On the one hand, Kenny suggests multiple times to Timothy that he doesn’t want to be alive to face the consequences of his actions, which doesn’t necessarily bode well for his continued presence in the show.
