In 2022, the 2017 Ocean Alexander 85E known as Live Mas received a full exterior repaint. It’s located in San Diego, California, and offered by Worth Avenue Yacht Sales for $5.4 million.

Ocean Alexander builds yachts of undeniable quality, and are sought after on the international brokerage market. The OA 85E is one example of a best-seller, thanks in part to its four-stateroom, five-head layout which accommodates up to eight guests. Live Mas is located in San Diego, California, and offered by Worth Avenue Yacht Sales for $5.4 million.

The yacht features substantial recent upgrades, including but not limited to the interior and exterior furnishings, carpeting, soft goods, white quartz countertops, refrigeration and freezer appliances, smart televisions and a Starlink system. In 2022, Live Mas had a complete exterior repaint at Westport Shipyard in Port Angeles, Washington.

The aft deck is perfect for relaxing with cocktails and sea breezes, with a nearby wet bar and plenty of room for lounging.

Live Mas has a cruising speed of 18 knots and a top hop of 23 knots and is powered by twin 1,920 hp MTU 12V2000 engines with just over 2,000 hours on them. It has a fuel capacity of 2,800 gallons, giving it excellent range at cruising speed.

Yachting previously wrote: “From the dock, the 85E is almost a contradiction in terms: modern yet ageless. She has the requisite reversed transom, too often called Euro, that embraces and protects a wonderfully large swim platform; she has the large windows in her topsides, and everything from the window pillars to the electronics arch is raked. Yet anyone who loves the lines of a vintage Rolls-Royce or a classic Trumpy motoryacht will be right at home here. Ten years down the line, the 85E will still turn heads.

“The 85E is a boat created to bridge the gap between our traditional Ocean Alexander styling and interior design and the European boats that feature highly contemporary design that is often not accepted in the American market,” said Ocean Alexander’s Richard Allender. “It features updated exterior styling, along with a new interior layout and design. This will be the basis on which the future products from Ocean Alexander are designed.”

A Novurania tender with Yamaha outboard is also included with the vessel.

The helm is well laid out with updated electronics within easy reach of the skipper.
