Officials have identified the remains pulled from a pond in Plantation.

The discovery brings to an end a decades-old cold case.

Volunteers with Sunshine State Sonar say they found the remains of missing Broward mother Libby Ann Dibenedetto.

Using sonar imaging, her car was located in a retention pond off of Sunrise Boulevard and Flamingo Road on Sunday.

Dibenedetto was reported missing in 2000 after a night out with friends at a bar in Davie.
