Wife arrested in man’s Miami Gardens murder

Miami Gardens police said Saturday that they arrested a woman who they said killed her husband in a double shooting Friday morning.

Shaneeka Harris, 39, is now facing a second-degree murder charge.

Saturday report:

According to police, the shooting was reported at 6:38 a.m. in the 4600 block of Northwest 193rd Street.

Police said officers arrived at the scene and found two males suffering from gunshot wounds. Harris’ husband later died at a local trauma center, authorities said.

Authorities have not yet released his name.

Records show that Harris was booked into the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center just before 11 p.m. Friday.

A judge ordered Harris to be held without bond Saturday morning.

She’s expected to be back in court on Monday.
