The Italian Sea Group Launches the 55-Meter Admiral Raja²

The Italian Sea Group recently launched Raja², a 55-meter (180-foot ) aluminum Admiral superyacht from the brand’s S-Force line. Raja² features a beam of 8.6 meters (28.3 feet) and a gross tonnage of 499. Delivery was scheduled for the spring of this year.

Entirely designed by The Italian Sea Group’s in-house Style Center and managed by IYC and Med Waves Charters, Raja² was built to offer an exclusive experience through innovative design and cutting-edge technology.

Raja² boasts fluid, yet powerful exterior lines, defined by a streamlined, dynamic profile that blends sophistication with a distinctly sporty character, according to the builder. Expansive glass surfaces along the superstructure embrace the growing trend among owners for seamless indoor-outdoor living, allowing natural light to take center stage. The sharp, modern bow conveys strength and presence, while the open stern creates generous relaxation areas with direct access to the water.

The sundeck and upper decks integrate with the yacht’s silhouette, maintaining uninterrupted lines that enhance its refined, contemporary aesthetic. Generous outdoor spaces provide an inviting atmosphere, with two aft decks featuring dining and lounge areas. The sundeck is equipped with a Jacuzzi and multiple sunbathing spots, while the upper deck offers a spacious circular lounge that can be transformed into a touch-and-go helipad for easy access at any time. A large garage accommodates an 8-meter (26-foot) tender and a wide selection of water toys.

Interior Design and Comfort

The interiors of Raja² embody a fusion of maximalism and elegance. The overall atmosphere balances grandeur with refinement, creating a distinctive visual language where seemingly contrasting elements coexist in harmony, reflecting a strong and confident character. The project stands out for its uniqueness and ambition, with a strong design that gives each space its own identity while maintaining a common thread of unpredictability, bringing dynamism and vibrancy throughout. Expansive marble surfaces enriched with intricate three-dimensional details, moldings, and decorative frames, add a touch that is both modern and classic.

The contrast between Black Marquina and Calacatta Gold marble enhances this interplay, just as the refined pairing of White Carrara with rich brown Port Saint Laurent achieves a similar effect. The same principle applies to the wood finishes, where glossy Canaletto walnut contrasts with sandblasted or bleached Dark Chocolate oak. Soft, natural-toned leathers complete the strong yet inviting palette, punctuated by elegant bursts of vibrant hues such as burnt orange and deep wine-red.

A defining feature of the design is the extensive use of mirrored surfaces—an owner’s request—strategically placed to reflect light and water, amplifying the sense of openness and connection to the surrounding seascape.

Technology and Innovation

Raja² integrates cutting-edge technology and high performance. Powered by two Caterpillar C32 Acert engines, she reaches a maximum speed of 18 knots and a cruising speed of 16.5 knots, according to the builder. The yacht boasts a range of 3,500 nautical miles at a speed of 10 knots. With six guest cabins, she accommodates up to 12 guests, while six crew cabins provide space for up to 11 crew members.
