It’s been almost a year since The Bear season 3 ended with a digestif of cliffhangers. Will Sydney jump ship? Will Carmy ever chill the fuck out? Do they still make sandwiches, or what? As we head towards another summer, it’s almost time to check back in with our favorite dysfunctional family and somehow even more dysfunctional work family. And we do know they’re coming back: The Bear was renewed for a third and fourth season way back in fall 2023. Now, new details are emerging about who is coming back and just what they’ll be doing. Here’s everything we know about The Bear season 4.
Ayo Edebiri and Lionel Boyce are serving double duty
And in Ayo’s case, possibly even triple duty. Edebiri told Deadline she and Lionel Boyce are co-writing an episode for season 4. Deets for what the episode is about are scarce, however. Last season, Edibiri directed “Napkins,” a breakout ep for Liza Colón-Zayas’s Tina. Colón-Zayas won the Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series that same year.
Who’s coming back to Sweet Home Chicago?
It is believed that all the main cast of The Bear will be reprising their roles in season 4. Alongside multi-hyphenates Edebiri and Boyce, and Emmy winner Colón-Zayas, Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Abby Elliott, and Matty Matheson are all expected to return. And in a “coming soon” reel of Disney+’s 2025 slate, Jamie Lee Curtis was shown returning as Berzatto matriarch Donna.
When is The Bear coming back?
Speaking of that trailer, we know The Bear season 4 will be come to our screens in 2025. Specifically, it’s expected to return in June. Parts of season 4 were filmed alongside season 3, so there shouldn’t be much more work to be done. Right, chef?
