Dolphins’ Tyreek Hill has second wrist surgery ahead of 2025 NFL season

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill appears to have undergone a second wrist surgery, according to photos posted Wednesday on his Snapchat account.

Hill reportedly injured his wrist during joint practices with the Washington Commanders before the start of the 2024 NFL season.

He previously had surgery on the same wrist in late February.

After that procedure, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel said the 31-year-old would be ready for training camp.

Hill has since been spotted participating in voluntary workouts with the team, according to the Dolphins’ social media posts.

It’s unclear how long Hill will be sidelined following this latest procedure, but if his recovery timeline mirrors the first, he likely won’t miss any regular season games. However, his availability for the rest of the offseason program is uncertain.

The star receiver’s status in Miami has also been under scrutiny after he appeared to give up during a Week 18 loss to the New York Jets and made postgame comments suggesting he was ready to move on.

That fueled speculation he could be traded this offseason.

It’s been an offseason full of twists and turns for the wide receiver known as “Cheetah.”

Sunny Isles Beach police confirmed that Hill was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife, Keeta Hill, last April.

Keeta Hill told police that she and Tyreek Hill had been arguing more frequently and stated that whenever she gives her opinion on anything they discuss, “he becomes angry and throws objects around,” according to an incident report.

She said the two had been attending couples therapy, but it was “not working out” which led her to file for divorce last month,” the report stated.

Dolphins General Manager Chris Grier told reporters on April 15 that he had no plans to trade Tyreek Hill, but “would listen” if someone offered at least two first round draft picks.

The Dolphins made Tyreek Hill one of the highest paid wide receivers in the league after he agreed to a three-year, $90 million extension last August.

Miami’s restructured contract with the wide receiver includes $65 million guaranteed and a four-year $106.5 million total.
