The new MC-ZERO 450 aims to rethink what a yacht tender can be, blending carbon-fiber construction with all-electric propulsion and a highly adaptable layout. Measuring 14.8 feet overall with a 6.6-foot beam, the compact runabout is built around a rigid carbon hull and a patent-pending movable helm that opens up usable deck space—one of its defining features.

That flexible layout is paired with a modular deck system that can shift from guest shuttle to gear hauler in short order. With roughly 40 percent more internal volume than a traditional RIB of similar size, the 450 is designed to serve as a multi-role support boat rather than a single-purpose tender.

Propulsion comes from twin 30 kW ZeroJet electric drives (roughly equivalent to 80 hp total), powered by a 32.4 kWh 48-volt battery system. The setup delivers a reported top speed of 25 knots, along with the quiet operation and low maintenance associated with electric power. Twin jets also provide redundancy, a useful feature for yachts operating in remote cruising grounds.

Practical touches extend to both ends of the boat. At the bow, electric drop-down steps ease boarding in shallow water or at the beach. A fully actuating electric transom at the stern expands usable deck space at anchor, creating a swim platform or staging area for watersports.

With seating for eight to nine guests and a maximum load of 1,433 pounds, the MC-ZERO 450 is positioned as a versatile, modern-day tender, one that leans heavily into space efficiency, clean propulsion and simplified operation.

The model is scheduled to make its global debut at the 2026 Palm Beach International Boat Show, followed by a European introduction in Palma later this spring.
