The Abeking and Rasmussen shipyard in Lemwerder, Germany was busy last week as 70m superyacht SAINT NICOLAS was returned to the water following a major refit and 82m superyacht ROMEA arrived for maintenance.
Lurssen’s 70.2 m (230’3″) superyacht SAINT NICOLAS arrived at A&R back in March 2024 and has been lavished with a major refit: a collaboration between American naval architect Murray & Associates who have designed an extension to the swim platform; Pascoli International who brought their innovative approach to upgrades to the exterior; and Patrick Knowles Design who have expertly managed the interior refit.
Originally built by Abeking & Rasmussen, 81.2m (268’4”) superyacht ROMEA returned home to the A&R shipyard on 11th February before moving into the hall for maintenance. Regular maintenance is vital for superyachts to remain seaworthy and keep their luxury amenities up to date. It is not known how long she will spend out of the water, but we look forward to seeing her back on the charter market soon.
