John Morris, who is the voice actor for Andy in Toy Story, embodied the “no toy left behind” mentality before he even knew what it was. In an interview on the podcast, Disney Countdown Show, the actor shared that for his first audition, casting directors asked the kids to bring their favorite toy. “I brought all my X-Men action figures and my mom said, ‘Cool, pick one.’ And I said, ‘No, I’m bringing them all in this huge carrying case.’” Jokes on Mama Morris, as John’s decision to bring all of his plastic friends is the reason why he got the part in the first place. “Later, they said that’s what Andy does, that’s how Andy plays,” he explained. “I didn’t bring one toy. I brought one world of toys. I still have my X-Men action figures over here. They have a special place in my heart and helped start it all.” Wonder if Kid John ever carried a plastic fork around with his X-Men?
