So far, a total of two movies have sold at Sundance this year, both of which played out of competition. But the competition still plays on, and Atropia is officially on top. The Alia Shawkat–starring film follows an Iraqi American woman who gets cast in a military role-playing facility, and it won the Sundance Grand Jury prize in the U.S. dramatic competition. The Dylan O’Brien–starring Twinless, meanwhile, won the audience award. Plus, O’Brien won the U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award for Acting, meaning Twinless won twin awards. Other big winners included Seeds, which won the Grand Jury’s documentary competition, and Eva Victor, who won the Waldo Salt Screenwriting Award for Sorry, Baby.
