The Lively v. Baldoni legal battle just added two new characters. Blake Lively filed an amended complaint on February 18, including claims that two other actresses on the set of It Ends With Us were made uncomfortable by director Justin Baldoni and are willing to testify about it. “Importantly, and contrary to the entire narrative Defendants have invented, Mr. Baldoni acknowledged the complaints in writing at the time,” the filing states. “He knew that women other than Ms. Lively also were uncomfortable and had complained about his behavior.”

Lively alleges that one of the cast members told Sony executive Ange Giannetti that Baldoni’s behavior was causing “work on the Film” to suffer, leading Giannetti to tell Baldoni’s production company, Wayfarer, which was producing the movie, about the concerns. Baldoni then, per the lawsuit, gave a statement in writing “acknowledging that he was aware of her concerns, and that adjustments would be made.” The same actress later told Lively that she still had “growing concerns with the conditions on set.” The other actress, the suit claims, “confided to Ms. Lively that she too felt uncomfortable on set.”

The It Ends With Us legal drama began when Lively filed her lawsuit against Baldoni, Wayfarer, and his crisis PR team in December 2024, alleging sexual harassment, retaliation, and, with this new amended complaint, defamation. Cast and crew members, including It Ends With Us’s original writer, Colleen Hoover, and cast member Jenny Slate, have expressed support for Lively in the past, but this is the first time that any other related parties have been brought into the legal battle. Do not expect this conflict to end soon.
