A Broward County high school was placed on lockdown Wednesday morning after a social media post sparked concerns.
Broward Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Miranda Grossman confirmed to Local 10 that an investigation is underway at Cooper City High School, located at 9401 Stirling Road.
A spokeswoman with Broward County Public Schools told Local 10 a short time later that the incident stemmed from “a social media post regarding a possible weapon on campus.”
The spokeswoman said no weapons have been found on campus and the school is now on a “secure status.”
“All students and staff are safe,” she said.
No other details were immediately released.
