En el contexto actual de Venezuela, la economía se encuentra en un estado crítico, con un aumento constante del dólar y una dramática disminución en el poder adquisitivo de los ciudadanos. Mientras el malestar social crece, un fenómeno intrigante emerge: el contraste entre la pobreza de la población y el auge de grandes negocios que parecen prosperar en medio de la crisis. Este fenómeno no es nuevo; a lo largo de la historia, tanto en la era de los subsidios petroleros a Cuba como en la actualidad, las corporaciones han encontrado oportunidades en la desolación económica del país.

Hoy, se estima que las corporaciones estadounidenses, bajo el auspicio de alianzas políticas, podrían asegurar contratos que superen los 22 mil millones de dólares anuales en recursos como petróleo, gas y oro. La magnitud de estos negocios es tal que se proyecta un volumen de recursos que eclipsa las sumas desviadas a Cuba durante los años del chavismo. Sin embargo, el verdadero saqueo no se limita a la explotación de recursos; es un fenómeno más profundo que se manifiesta en la pérdida de la autonomía del pueblo venezolano.
