The yacht was commissioned by an experienced yacht owning family who wanted to build their dream vessel capable of being a home-from-home for extended periods of travelling around the world. Every space has been carefully considered and is equally suited for intimate family cruises or when welcoming friends on board – the family are generous and sociable and love to share the yacht with friends.

“Asia is the boat I have dreamt of since I was a young boy,” says the owner. “Everywhere onboard Asia is incredibly comfortable and enjoyable to spend time in. There isn’t any part of the boat where we don’t feel at home; in fact, what Royal Hakvoort built is a home for us. Asia is the complete package—she turned out precisely as we envisioned.”

“The first thing you notice with Asia is space; stepping aboard feels akin to being on an 80-metre superyacht,” says Hakvoort. “The secret lies in the general arrangement. Asia has her engine rooms located amidships, which has freed up a huge amount of living space for the owner and guests aft. The design and detailing are exceptional throughout; Asia is intricate, welcoming, and well-suited for long periods at sea.”

The sun deck is a sociable al fresco terrace running full length and fitted with a grill and wet bar plus guest sunbathing areas, a glass walled jacuzzi and swim up bar. Retractable biminis offer shade throughout the day if required. The upper deck includes an aft terrace perfect for relaxing after a training session in the adjacent indoor gym which is fitted with machines and free-weights.

The owner’s deck aft is a huge terrace where they can host al fresco dinners, relax in the sunshine and make the most of wherever they are in the world. Colourful nautical influences are present on the deck furnishings which blend perfectly with the teak decking and other neutral finishes. A private foredeck terrace creates an intimate seating area for the owners with the addition of a personal jacuzzi.

The main deck leads down to the water’s edge which flows seamlessly into a stunning beach club – perfect for chilling out or indulging in luxury spa treatments during the day or hosting cool karaoke parties at night. The main deck hosts the VIP stateroom, comparable in finish to the owner’s suite, offers a bedroom and salon plus ensuite with full bathtub, rainfall shower and deluxe finishes including natural wood and crystal-white marble.

A family yacht wouldn’t be complete without a private owner’s deck. On board ASIA the owners have created a private apartment suite with a suspended kingsize bed that looks directly out upon 270 degrees of glazing and panoramic views from the moment the owners wake up. The ceiling is gorgeously detailed with gold leaf and the apartment is finished in rich mahogany and cream furnishings. There is also a beauty salon, his and her bathrooms, an office and a sky lounge on this deck.

Extended periods cruising requires high-tech propulsion and ASIA benefits from a hybrid system which delivers speeds of up to 15 knots and a range of 4.800 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 10 knots. Her efficiency is further enhanced by an innovative heat recovery system – a forward-thinking design with will feature on all new Royal Hakvoort superyachts.

++++

The owners of superyacht ASIA have been enjoying her to the full since they first boarded in May 2024. As they continue their world tour, we wish them well and many happy years spent with family and friends.
