• Blanca Commercial Real Estate announced the appointment of Talia Abad as Associate Vice President to head up the healthcare practice. Talia Abad brings over five years of commercial real estate experience, having begun her career with ABG Commercial Realty in Boston before joining Cushman & Wakefield. At Cushman & Wakefield, she specialized in life sciences before transitioning to their healthcare advisory practice in South Florida.
• Greg Engler has joined CBRE’s Florida Capital Markets team as Vice Chair. Engler will collaborate with CBRE’s existing sales and debt professionals to bolster the firm’s services for multifamily investors, with a primary focus on Florida markets. With more than 35 years of industry experience, including 25 years specializing in multifamily investment sales and equity raises, he brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.
• The NRP Group has added Brett Gelsomino as Senior Vice President of Development. Leveraging nearly 20 years of experience in housing development and investment in Florida, Gelsomino will lead the firm’s market-rate development efforts throughout the state, overseeing all aspects from site selection to project completion. Gelsomino previously spent 14 years at ZOM Development, where he launched and led ZOM’s senior living division.
• Aztec Group’s Peter Mekras has arranged $30 million in debt financing for 25 Mirage in Miami. 25 Mirage consists of 171 rental apartments with retail and is located in the Edgewater neighborhood in Miami. The financing was awarded to Ocean Bank. The $30 million loan for 25 Mirage features a fixed rate and is full-term interest only. 
• JLL announced the appointment of Nathan “Nate” Eissler as Executive Vice President in the company’s Orlando office. Eissler brings more than 14 years of experience in commercial real estate, specializing in office tenant representation.
