The Maritimo M60 carries the designation of the very inception of the Australian brand’s flybridge motor yacht known today: the highly acclaimed Maritimo 60. The 2024 M60 known as Afternoon Delight is an excellent example of this brand. It’s well-optioned, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and offered by Maritimo for $3.349 million.

At the beginning of this project, it was made clear by Maritimo founder, Bill Barry-Cotter, that the M60 had to be a motor yacht that was truly special, as the 60-foot flybridge designation was something that he held close to his heart. A fully enclosed climate-controlled flybridge sky lounge with internal staircase access provides the comfort for long-range cruising and passage making.

Afternoon Delight has twin 1,000 hp Volvos with five years of warranty through November 2028 remaining. In addition, it’s outfitted with a Quick MC2-30K gyrostabilizer and Sleipner proportional thrusters for stability and pinpoint maneuverability. The Garmin electronics package includes an open-array radar for long-range target detection. There’s also a Spot Zero SeaXchange watermaker. Afternoon Delight was fully ceramic coated in November 2023 as well.

Belowdecks, the free-flowing spaces utilize the hull’s volume, maximizing height and space. There are three staterooms and two ensuites, with a full-beam king master stateroom, offset queen stateroom forward and starboard guestroom with twin singles.

Yachting previously wrote: “Maritimo stayed with conventional shaft drives, which not only lower the boat’s center of gravity, but also keep the shafts efficiently flat at 8 degrees, turning six-blade nibrals in a prop tunnel for shallow-water running. The variable-deadrise hull form is knife-sharp forward and flattens aft, providing a good running surface (and adding to the engine-room space).

Back on the adventure deck, the lazarette/garage can handle a 10-foot-3-inch tender, a pair of personal watercraft, or a mix of water toys. The cockpit has a console with an outdoor kitchen and settee.”
