Garcelle Beauvais Leaves RHOBH on Shockingly Good Terms

The Real Housewives landscape is littered with women with grudges against the show: Bethenny Frankel tried to start a revolution against the franchise, Andy Cohen had to call out Lisa Rinna to her face, etc. So it’s a pleasant surprise, if not an actually “happy” one, when a Housewife departs the show with her dignity still intact. Garcelle Beauvais is gracefully exiting The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She informed fans of her departure, after five seasons on the series, with an Instagram video. “One of the reasons why I’m leaving is my family, my boys, their last year of high school is next year and I want to be a part of that,” she said. “And [one of her sons] Jaid is starting a new career and I want to be a part of that too.”

“Andy Cohen says I can come back anytime,” Garcelle later added. “The door will always be open, so you never know, I might pop back in sometime.” Thank goodness, because Sutton is going to need a lot more backup in the coming season. At least we’ll always have the “Homeless Not Toothless” clip.
