Critics Choice Awards comes as one of the first award shows in a post-Emilia Pérez villain world, especially since voting for the show closed well before Karla Sofía Gascón’s controversial tweets were uncovered last week. Unlike at the Oscars, Emilia Pérez isn’t the most nominated film at the 2025 Critics Choice Awards— that honor goes to two Pope-ular movies: Conclave and Wicked. Emilia Pérez did not leave empty-handed; Zoe Saldaña won Best Supporting Actress, and director Jacques Audiard accepted the award for Best Foreign Language Film; neither mentioned Gascón’s name in their speeches. Despite being nominated, Gascón won alongside Saldaña and Camile for Best Original Song but was not in attendance tonight. On a lighter note, we have a tie! A Real Pain and Deadpool and Wolverine tied for Best Comedy. Lastly, the Best Picture winner went to Sean Baker’s Anora— Ani finally had her happily ever after, at least for tonight.

On the television front, The Penguin and Shōgun remain victorious throughout the night; Cristin Milioti and Colin Farrell won Best Actress for a Limited Series and Best Actor for a Limited Series; Tadanobu Asano won Best Supporting Actor in a Series, Hiroyuki Sanada won for Best Actor in a Drama Series, and Moeka Hoshi won Best Supporting Actress in a Series. The latter also won for Best Drama Series.

Below are all the winners of the 2025 Critics Choice Awards, including the winning films and television shows.
