Over 9,000 buildings have been consumed, and at least ten lives have been lost in the Palisades and Eaton fires, according to officials. “The Palisades fire is one of the most destructive natural disasters in the history of Los Angeles,” said Los Angeles fire chief Kristin Crowley on January 9.
