As a producer, you have to wear many wigs hats. The next James Bond movie may be Broccoli-free for the first time, but it’s not lacking for star producers. Amy Pascal (Spider-Man, Challengers, the upcoming Greta Gerwig–directed Narnia movie) and David Heyman (Harry Potter) will produce it together. “We are approaching every creative decision with James Bond, which Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson have so masterfully steered, with the greatest sense of responsibility,” Amazon’s film chief, Courtenay Valenti (who was previously the Barbara Broccoli “whisperer,” per WSJ), said in a statement. “Part of an elite group of producers who have developed and managed massive film franchises to box-office success and critical acclaim, Amy Pascal and David Heyman are two of the most accomplished, experienced, and respected film producers in our industry.”

Previously, Pascal was the chairperson of Sony Pictures Entertainment, and, during her tenure, she oversaw the release of Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, and Skyfall. “James Bond is one of the most iconic characters in the history of cinema,” Amy Pascal and David Heyman said in a joint statement. “We are humbled to follow in the footsteps of Barbara Broccoli and Michael Wilson who made so many extraordinary films and honored and excited to keep the spirit of Bond very much alive as he embarks on his next adventure.” Next step: announcing who the next James Bond will be, finally. Look, if we’re in the brainstorming phase, Pascal does have a good relationship with Tom Holland and Zendaya …
