Kai Cenat’s Streamer University Is in Session

Chat, have you ever wanted to go to a college but instead of learning about math, science, or literature, you’re learning about internet beef and cooking? Okay, the culinary arts are an important life skill, but maybe internet beef isn’t the type of protein we should be cooking up in masses. Popular Twitch streamer (the third most followed person on the platform) Kai Cenat has enlisted the help of a few friends to open Streamer University, a weekend-long online event taking place on Twitch. It’s become a lead-up to the main event on Monday, as Cenat will be live-streaming the American Music Awards from his Twitch, becoming the first streamer to legally broadcast the show.

What’s the streamer university about?

Cenat’s goal is simple: to create a free bootcamp where up-and-coming streamers could learn about content creation. While the courses hosted by other internet personalities are all available to stream on Twitch, 120 participants were invited to a real university, University of Akron, as an “all inclusive trip” where they live on campus and attend classes in person. They’ll also be streaming from their own channels, showing off what they’ve learned, like getting into fights with each other. Maybe it’s actually a study group for Internet Beef 101.

How to watch Streamer University?

Beginning May 22, you can check out classes and participants’ live streams on Twitch in the “Streamer University” category. For his opening stream titled Orientation/Move In day, he accumulated over 10 million views, and it didn’t just stop there. Cenat has been popping up on various streamers from his students, in a perfect world to stop any more fights from happening (or just confirming that they’re staged.)
