Looks Like Jennie’s Ruby Tracklist Is Gonna Be Full of Gems

What’s black and pink and red all over? News about Jennie from Blackpink’s debut solo studio album Ruby, of course. She and her self-established Odd Atelier label announced the release of the 15-track project — featuring collaborations with Childish Gambino, Doechii, Dominic Fike, Dua Lipa, FKJ, and Kali Uchis — alongside an album trailer on January 21. Earlier this month, the singer teased in a Billboard interview that she is “playing with a lot of different genres and elements” on this album. “I’m rapping here, I’m singing here, I’m harmonizing here, I’m talking here,” she hinted. “The overall sound was me making sure I like every single [song].” In her 30-second album trailer, we hear Jennie deliver lyrics like “In the dark I grew” and “Money cannot buy no real friends” as we catch glimpses of her with appropriately red hair.

Ruby will include “Mantra,” the anthem of pretty-girl affirmations that Jennie released in October 2024 (a month after she signed a partnership deal with Columbia Records). More details about the tracklist and future singles have yet to be revealed, but preorders are already open for “Jennie only” physical versions of the album. As the name suggests, they’ll contain only her vocals without the featuring artists — you know, just in case you want to hear her going solo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo on every song.
