To be or (astro)naut to be? We know how Olivia Munn feels, at least when it comes to Blue Origin’s upcoming all-women space mission. Per “Page Six,” Munn described the star-studded girls’ trip to the stars as “gluttonous” while co-hosting Today with Jenna and Friends on Thursday. The 11-minute flight is set to bring “Woman’s World” singer Katy Perry out of this world with an admittedly afraid Gayle King on April 14. The full crew also includes former NASA rocket scientist Aisha Bowe, bioastronautics research scientist and civil-rights activist Amanda Nguyen, film producer Kerianne Flynne, and journalist Lauren Sánchez (who is also engaged to Blue Origin’s billionaire owner, Jeff Bezos). “What are they doing?” Munn, who compared the short trip to the women’s “own” version of Disney’s Space Mountain rollercoaster, asked. “I know this probably isn’t the cool thing to say, but there are so many other things that are so important in the world right now.”

Despite seeming a little bit worried about coming across as that one friend who’s too woke, Munn went on to identify the cost of the mission as a cause of concern. “I know this is probably obnoxious, but like, it’s so much money to go to space, and there’s a lot of people who can’t even afford eggs,” Munn said, before also bringing up the potential environmental impact of all the resources being spent. When Jenna Bush Hager shared that the crew intended to get glammed up before takeoff — in a recent interview with Elle, Sánchez joked that there would be “lash extensions flying in the capsule,” while Perry quipped that the crew would “put the ‘ass’ in astronaut” — Munn responded with shock and confusion. “What’s the point? Is it historic that you guys are going on a ride? I think it’s a bit gluttonous,” she said. “Space exploration was to further our knowledge and to help mankind. What are they gonna do up there that has made it better for us down here?” Hear that, Blue Origin crew? She’s asking y’all, wo-Munn to woman.
