Predicting the Celebrities in Taylor Swift’s Super Bowl Squad

Donald Trump might be the first-ever sitting president to attend the Super Bowl, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be the most powerful person in the room at the Superdome on February 9. Hell, he won’t even be the most powerful blond. No, Trump is gonna get big-dogged at the big game this weekend by Taylor Swift, First Lady of WAGs, who will be rolling up to the Super Bowl for the second year in a row to cheer on boyfriend Travis Kelce, who is playing in his third Super Bowl in a row with the Kansas City Chiefs. Last year, in Las Vegas, Kelce said he paid “fucking three million dollars” for a VIP suite for Swift, his family, and her squad. This year’s suite prices look similar, which will be money well spent if the game turns into an engagement party. It also makes the guest list more important than ever. Here are our best predictions for this year’s squad, based on who came last year.

Ice Spice / Flavor Flav

He’s like the self-declared King Swiftie, plus he’s been to a Chiefs game before, and he’s in town to perform at Guy Fieri’s Super Bowl party. Swift and Ice Spice don’t seem that close anymore, now that “Karma” isn’t eligible for any awards. —Jennifer Zhan

Blake Lively / Taylor Lautner

Rumors are swirling that Lively is getting banned from the box this year due to her ongoing legal/PR battles with Justin Baldoni. That being said, Swift tends to stand by besties who are Going Through It. Lively attended a Holiday House party during the initial It Ends With Us drama, so it does seem probable she’s still welcome. And it’s not like distancing herself from Lively would stop Baldoni’s lawyer from deposing Swift, something he’s suggested may happen.

But if Tree Paine really doesn’t want the smoke during Super Bowl Sunday, Swift may switch out one actor squadette with another. Lautner is a Detroit Lions fan, so he doesn’t have skin in the game. But he does have ups. Imagine Lautner doing his little flips every time the Chiefs score. And if Lautner’s wife comes, that’s a three-Taylor swag surf situation. —Bethy Squires

It’s hard to imagine these two caring much about football, but while the Oscar voting window remains open, it can’t hurt for The Substance star and her producer husband to be in Swift’s box. —F.H.
