Ready for Paramount to Put the 2 in 1923?

Whatever else is happening in the Sheridan-verse right now can’t stop these Duttons from returning to our screens. Thanks in part to delays from the Hollywood strikes, it’s been almost two years since the finale of the first season of 1923 aired. Talk about a historic drought! But we’ve had some rain since December. Paramount rewarded fans for their patience by dropping a premiere date, several first-look images, and right now in January, a new trailer teaser clips for the Yellowstone prequel show starring Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren. Below, here’s what we know so far about 1923 season two, including who’s in the cast and what to do if you’ve forgotten where last season left off.

What’s going on in the trailer?

Everyone’s pretty stressed. Jacob has accepted a war to save their land is unpreventable as the Duttons prepare for a heavy winter ahead. “He wants to take this place from us,” Jacob explains as the family hopes for a safe arrival from Spencer, especially since they may be under attack soon. But don’t you worry, they’re defending their ranch by whatever means necessary. “Anything worth having is worth fighting for,” Cara exclaims.

According to an official synopsis, a “cruel winter” will bring “new challenges and unfinished business” to Jacob and Cara in season two. Alexandra will also embark “on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey” to find and reclaim her love with Spencer, who is “racing against time to save his family.”

Who’s in the cast?

Expect to see a lot of familiar faces kicking up dust again, starting with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren as Jacob and Cara Dutton. Spencer (Brandon Sklenar), Teonna (Aminah Nieves), and Alexandra (Julia Schlaepfer) are also returning, and the full cast includes Jerome Flynn, Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Michelle Randolph, Sebastian Roché, Timothy Dalton, and Jennifer Carpenter.

When is 1923 season two coming out?

The second season of 1923 will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ on February 23.
