Tate McRae and The Kid Laroi ‘Know Love’

Oooh, it’s the battle of the musical couples! Tate McRae’s new album So Close So What — including her song with bf The Kid Laroi — has dropped in the same 24-hour window as “Call Me When You Break Up” by Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco! And Gracie Abrams as their third, but we’re focusing on the couples right now. Is this drama? Which couple love each other more? Loves music more? Loves Gracie Abrams more? Okay, that one is a gimme for Belena.

Just kidding, there is no drama. Famously, many people proclaim love in February. Usually it’s around the 14th. But last Friday was more focused on hate, thanks to Drake. Anyhoo, McRae said collaborating on the song drew them closer. “It was a really funny process, because me and Laroi have never really, like, taken each other seriously,” she said at a Spotify listening party. “You know when you’re in a relationship and you sing around each other, but you don’t really, like, sing?
