“Look what you made her do— wait, no, it’s look what she made you do. Channeling the (rumored) incoming Reputation (Taylor’s Version) era, Justin Baldoni’s lawyers have backed off of Taylor Swift in the It Ends With Us trial against Blake Lively. After twelve days, Baldoni’s team has withdrawn a subpoena given to Swift earlier this month. “We supported the efforts of Taylor’s team to quash these inappropriate subpoenas directed to her counsel, and we will continue to stand up for any third party who is unjustly harassed or threatened in the process,” a spokesperson for Lively told People. Baldoni’s team initially claimed that Lively used her friend Swift’s “megacelebrity” status in order to influence Lively’s direction on the film against Baldoni. However, Swift’s legal team maintained that Swift’s only involvement in the film was licensing one of her songs.
The subpoena removal comes shortly after a judge struck down an extortion claim made by Baldoni’s team last week, calling the claim “irrelevant” to the upcoming trial, scheduled for March 2026. The trial would be a “eras tour” of all the lawsuits, if you will, and will encompass all of the back-and-forth allegations made by both Baldoni and Lively, including one claim that Lively called Swift one of her “dragons.” She’s more of a snake if you’d ask her yourself.
