This week, Turkish shipyard Bilgin Yachts announced the launch of 80m (262’6”) superyacht AL REEM, reinforcing their position at the forefront of luxury superyacht building. As a culmination of a three-year build the yacht is being celebrated as the final unit in an award-winning trilogy which include M/Y TATIANA and M/Y LEONA.  The Bilgin team once again collaborated with Unique Yacht Design and H2 Yacht Design who created the interiors.

Emrecan Özgün, founder and CEO of Unique Yacht Design explains, “While AL REEM is the youngest sibling in this series, she is the most voluminous, boasting a gross tonnage of 1,758 GT -nearly 100 gross ton more than Tatiana. To achieve this, we completely redesigned the superstructure, creating smooth, flowing lines and an imposing yet elegant profile. The mast is larger and more striking than her predecessors.”

Her striking superstructure combines metallic grey, white and black which complements the fully teak foredeck and expansive glazing. Standout features include a forward-facing owner’s suite with 300-degree views, extended aft decks perfect for entertainment and relaxation plus a continuous connection to the surroundings.

Özgün notes, “We tailored Al Reem’s layout and design to deliver a sleek and luxurious experience while maintaining a connection to nature.”

The owner’s vision for the interiors of superyacht AL REEM was to create a serene oasis focused on calmness, purity, and relaxation. This vision was elegantly translated into the final design through an emphasis on modern aesthetics, sleek lines, and an open layout that encourages a connection with nature.

Jonny Horsfield, founder of H2 Yacht Design, shared his insights: “We developed a completely new interior aesthetic for AL REEM, focusing on a light and neutral palette that feels fresh yet calming on the soul. The design exudes a sophisticated and timeless elegance, crafted to provide both luxury and comfort.”

The interior finish includes uniquely veined marble as an eye-catching focal point, intricately decorative glass creating dynamic light refraction and matt timbers which deliver a warm organic texture to contrast with polished stainless-steel details. Silk carpets and wood flooring complement each other – understated tones and luxury underfoot.

The layout prioritises multi-functional spaces which perfectly facilitate relaxation and socialising, appealing to the owner’s lifestyle. The owner intends to use AL REEM primary for personal travel, so the layout incorporates numerous lounging areas, outdoor decks and amenities which cater to a luxury experience.

The owner’s representative had this to say, “Bilgin’s proactive and flexible team quickly established a productive working relationship. Their creativity and attention to detail exceeded all expectations, translating the owner’s vision into a breathtaking reality.”
