The latest in Heesen’s 55m Steel series has been announced as PROJECT ANGELICA (YN21255) who will come to life over the next few years before her expected delivery in Q2 2027. At 55m (180’5”) she represents the owner’s vision with exterior design by Omega Architects and interiors from Luca Dini – as well as the impressive FDHF hull developed for Heesen by Van Oossanen.

Ruud van der Stroom, Chief Commercial Officer of Heesen Yachts, expressed his enthusiasm for the project: “I am delighted with this new contract and thoroughly enjoyed the sales process, which allowed us to work closely with a sophisticated client and his experienced team. Their vision for PROJECT ANGELICA was both challenging and inspiring, engaging our design and engineering teams as they crafted innovative solutions to meet the client’s specific requirements.”

The yacht’s internal volume is around 760GT with nearly 400sqm of living space offering plenty of entertainment and relaxation space plus the private sanctuaries of seven luxurious staterooms – with accommodation for up to twelve guests. The interior will be personalised by Luca Dini to reflect the client’s unique preferences and will result in a truly one-of-a-kind superyacht.

The efficient and sleek hull developed by Van Oossanen is the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) seen across the range and promises reduced fuel consumption while maintaining exception comfort in any challenging sea conditions. Power comes from two MTU 8V4000 M63 IMO III engines (1,000 kW each) which deliver a top speed of 15.5 knots and a range of 4,500 nautical miles at a cruising speed of 13 knots.

Ruud van der Stroom continued: “The Heesen 55-metre series offers an exceptional platform for clients to express their individuality and achieve their ambitions. It combines striking exterior design, outstanding seaworthiness, and unmatched Dutch craftsmanship. The interior volumes are among the largest in their class, and the quality of workmanship is unparalleled. We are thrilled to welcome this client to the Heesen family and look forward to creating a superyacht that will be a remarkable addition to our fleet. Together, we will transform PROJECT ANGELICA into a true reflection of its owner’s vision.”

We look forward to keeping you up to date with her progress through the construction process.
