FLIR has unveiled the M460 and M560, its new flagship multi-spectral maritime camera systems designed for professional operators including first responders, commercial vessels and superyachts.

Each system combines a high-performance thermal sensor with a 4K low-light visible camera, a long-range laser spotlight, and an optional ITAR-free laser rangefinder. An onboard neural network automatically identifies and classifies common marine objects—such as vessels, buoys, and people—and tracks selected targets with dynamic pan and tilt control.

The cameras also feature the industry’s first three-axis gyro stabilization system, compensating for pitch, roll, and yaw to deliver smooth, steady imagery and improved AI tracking accuracy in rough conditions.

The M460 employs a long-wave infrared thermal sensor with 5x optical zoom for early detection, while the M560 uses a mid-wave infrared sensor and 14x optical zoom for extended range. Both support FLIR’s Color Thermal Vision (CTV) mode, blending color from the visible camera with thermal imaging for greater detail and context.
