Australia-based Riviera has launched Hull No. 1 of its 5600 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition, filling a gap between its 6000 and 6800 Sport Yacht. The four-model series also includes a 4600 Sport Yacht.

The 5600 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition embodies the series’ DNA with a sheltered aft deck that offers outdoor living while remaining protected from the elements. The space has an L-shaped lounge set around a high-gloss wood folding table and a transom settee. According to the builder, there is dining seating for eight guests with additional loose chairs. This aft deck can be protected via a short or long hardtop. For those who like to cook, the area is equipped with a grill, ice maker, refrigerator, sink and more. An electric blind in the hardtop drops to shade the aft deck when the sun gets high. There is also a retractable sunroof overhead for light and breezes when desired.

Inside, a U-shaped galley is located aft to starboard, easily servicing guests inside and outside. Appliances include a three-burner induction cooktop, a convection/microwave oven, a dishwasher, abundant cabinet stowage, solid-surface countertops, a full-height refrigerator and two fridge/freezer drawers. There is also a bar/serving station with a wine cooler and drink cabinet. A countertop overhang with two bar stools creates a breakfast nook.

The 5600 Sport Yacht Platinum Edition’s main-deck interior has an L-shaped lounge to port, within earshot of the galley, the dual-seat helm to starboard and a second L-shaped lounge forward. The area is made bright with nearly 360 degrees of glass as well as a retractable sunroof over the front half of the salon. There are also sliding windows for cross breezes.

When it comes to family cruising time there are three staterooms belowdecks, including a full-beam owner’s stateroom with a walkaround queen berth, settee to starboard and an en suite head with a shower. Hullside windows flank the space, adding light, while ports in the windows allow fresh air into the room.

There is also a forepeak VIP with queen berth and en suite head as well as a guest stateroom to port with two singles that convert to a double for couples.
