Castlefinn, a 2018 Palm Beach Motor Yachts PB55, is a 30-knot yacht with chic, ageless lines and a cruise-ready layout. Recently listed by Palm Beach Motor Yachts, Castlefinn is asking $2.499 million.

“The Palm Beach 55 is the latest incarnation of the Downeast-style lobster-boat-turned-yacht. There have been a number of predecessors, including those actually built somewhere in the Northeast. There have been some Down (Far) East versions built in the Orient, some Down (Over) East yachts built in Italy, and a stylish Down West line from the Pacific Northwest—but this is the first Down Under lobster-yacht. And, as the Aussies say on her home turf, ‘She’s a right corker,’ meaning something better than excellent,” Yachting previously reported.

Board Castlefinn via the swim platform and step into the cockpit through the starboard transom door. A teak sole extends from the cockpit to the swim platform. A U-shaped settee with a table and storage drawers dominates the aft section, while an aft-facing settee with fabric armrests sits to starboard.

The cockpit features a wet bar equipped with a Silestone counter, refrigerator, freezer,and sink. Upgrades include an IM Hydro ice maker, Isotherm refrigerator drawer and four Italian deck chairs. Owners can grill lunch on the portable Kenyon electric BBQ before unloading the tender from the garage for a private beach excursion.

The foredeck offers serene relaxation with cushions finished in “Boltaflex Vista” material—an ideal vantage point to enjoy the ocean breeze. A full bow rail ensures safety while enhancing the yacht’s elegant profile.

The salon, accessed via a sliding door, has an L-shaped settee to port and additional seating to starboard. High-gloss teak furniture, including a custom hi-low table, contrasts beautifully with Ultraleather upholstery. Solid satin-finish teak cabinetry adds warmth, while custom carpeting with acoustic underlay ensures comfort underfoot. Large side windows, a windscreen and a small sunroof over the helm flood the space with natural light. A retractable 43-inch Samsung HDTV provides entertainment on rainy days or during movie nights.

The helm station is located forward to starboard and features a custom dash layout with IPS joystick control, thruster controls and an ergonomically designed console. Guests can join the captain on a bench-style helm seat for two or relax on the portside bench-style settee. Captains enjoy a 360-degree view.

Three steps down and forward of the helm is Castlefinn’s galley, equipped with a two-burner portable induction cooktop, an Isotherm refrigerator/freezer combo, a wine refrigerator and a Miele speed oven. A solid Silestone countertop in “Tigris Sand” complements the overall design. Additional features include a Blanco Precis medium single-bowl sink, under-bench recessed disposal bin and a Fisher & Paykel dishwasher to streamline cleanup.

After a sunset dinner and stargazing in the cockpit, owners and guests can retire to one of two staterooms belowdecks.
