The Viking 42 Convertible is one of the most popular sport-fishing boats in its size range. Ring Game is rigged to fish at its location in Lighthouse Point, Florida. It’s offered by HMY Yacht Sales for $659,000.

According to the brokerage team at HMY, this vessel is a lightly used family sport-fisher and has been mechanically maintained to the highest level, with the engine and pod services all up to date as of fall 2525 as well as fresh bottom and underwater maintenance at Merritt Boat Works in Pompano Beach, Florida. Ring Game is extremely well set up for an owner-operator and family enjoyment. The joystick controls offer easy docking and it has the virtual anchor Skyhook feature, perfectly suited for fishing, diving and island cruising.

The salon has gloss-finished woodwork and a mid-level galley located to starboard, with access forward to the two-stateroom, two-head layout.

Engine room access is located centerline, under the mezzanine cushions, through a hatch. The main salon door is just off center to port. In the salon there’s an L-shape sofa and a raised dinette. Two steps down centerline you have open access to the starboard-side galley arrangement. The centerline hallway leads forward to the two-stateroom, two-head arrangement.

Yachting previously wrote: “In a game of free-word association, the one that comes to mind for the new Viking 42 is circle. A strange thought at first consideration, given the boat’s triangulated tower and sharp forefoot. But to me it makes sense.

Maybe it’s the Zeus propulsion system that can spin the boat around within its own length. Or maybe it’s the stellar 360-degree view from the Palm Beach-style helm. Or it could be that Viking is building a 42-footer, returning to a model size evocative of its classic 40 Convertible from nearly 40 years ago.”
