Versatility is a word that comes to mind when looking at the Tiara Yachts 39 LS. It’s the latest model in the Holland, Michigan, boatbuilder’s six-model Luxury Sport series, which stretches from 34 feet to 56 feet length overall.

The versatility starts with the cockpit’s modular design, allowing for two distinct setups. One option is the Buffet Lounge, which has rotating lounge seating, a fiberglass table, an electric grill, a fridge/freezer and more. A high-gloss teak table is optional. If at-sea entertaining is on the agenda, this is a layout to consider.

But, if the family also likes to do some fishing, the Adventure Module could be the move. In this scenario, there is a cutting board and prep area, four rod holders aft, a 42-gallon livewell, fold-down seating aft with a backrest and a 3.8-cubic-foot freezer, to name a few features. Angling options include 20-foot carbon fiber Taco outriggers as well as more rod holders in the hardtop. Fish are not included.

In both layouts, the portside bulwark folds out to increase the usable cockpit real estate.

Power for the 39 LS is a pair of 600 hp Mercury Verado V-12 outboards. Projected performance numbers were not available at press time, but we know these boats were built for speed. We recently ran the flagship Tiara 56 LS  and saw 47 knots-plus with quad 600 Verados.

The standard helm setup has a 7-inch VesselView display, a joystick to assist with close-quarters handling, digital throttle and shift, as well as active trim control. A 7.5 kW Onan  diesel generator is also standard, and owners can add a bow thruster, an inverter and a Seakeeper 4.5 gyrostabilizer. Personalization is available in the form of three exterior upholstery options, three interior ones as well as three solid-surface countertop choices. Additionally, the engines can be painted to match the hull color.

The 39 LS has a razorlike profile and raked windshield, adding to its sporty aesthetic. A fine entry and a 21-degree, deep-V hull form should help slice through the chop on sporty days. Supporting the seakindly hull design are an infused hull, deck, structural grid and transom, creating a stout build without added weight.

There are many ways to play with the Tiara Yachts 39 LS, and the choice is true to each owner.
