Baglietto × Meyer Davis: Vesta 56 Superyacht
A Visionary 56m Collaboration Redefining the Concept of Home at Sea
partnership with New York design studio Meyer Davis, guided by Venice-based designer Enrico Gobbi of Team for Design.Inspired by Vesta — the Roman goddess of hearth and home — this concept represents more than a yacht: it’s a
“floating sanctuary,” fusing sleek Italian naval heritage with contemporary comfort. As Fabio Ermetto, Baglietto’s CCO,
puts it, Vesta56 is “the expression of our philosophy… an experience that speaks to beauty, innovation, and balance.”
Aerodynamic Exterior Design
The exterior of Vesta56, imagined by Enrico Gobbi, channels aerodynamic principles from aviation. Slender hulls,
extended teak decks, and wing-like aft overhangs create a visual impression of forward motion, even at anchor.
Key outdoor features include an owner-only foredeck terrace and an infinity pool seamlessly integrated with
the extended swim platform. These elements invite open-air living while maintaining clean, elegant lines.
Continuous floor-to-ceiling glazing enhances the kinetic silhouette, dissolving the barrier between interior and sea.
The yacht’s proportions balance power and poise — a refined expression of contemporary Italian yachting design.
Sanctuary-Inspired Interiors
Meyer Davis crafts a residential-style interior that emphasizes soul over spectacle. Warm tones, organic textures,
and sculptural forms dominate the design: raffia wall panels, cognac leather, honed travertine, and anthracite accents
reflect understated elegance.
Every deck features floor-to-ceiling windows and retractable glass, inviting light and ocean breeze into the space.
From the open-plan saloon to the tranquil Owner’s Suite with 180° views, Vesta56 feels more like a coastal residence
than a traditional yacht.
Low-slung sofas, handcrafted cabinetry, and ambient lighting create an atmosphere that is both timeless and welcoming —
a home that travels, accumulates stories, and comforts at every nautical mile.

Lifestyle Amenities & Layout
While Vesta56’s design emphasizes emotional connection, it also delivers all the indulgent amenities of a top-tier superyacht. The yacht spans four decks with a thoughtfully planned layout. Accommodation is generous: up to 12 guests in 6 staterooms, ensuring every family member or guest enjoys a spacious cabin. The Owner’s suite is a highlight – positioned on the upper deck with panoramic views forward, it opens onto the private foredeck terrace, a secluded outdoor lounge just for the owner’s party. An adjacent owner’s office, walk-in wardrobe, and his-and-hers en suite bath can be configured to the owner’s preferences. A VIP suite on the main deck offers a near-equal level of luxury for a principal guest, while four additional guest cabins (three doubles and one twin) on the lower deck are all en-suite and generously appointed. A professional crew of up to 13 is housed in separate quarters (including a captain’s cabin on the bridge deck), to ensure impeccable service and operations without intruding on guest areas.
Outdoor living and entertainment spaces are abundant. In addition to the infinity-edge swimming pool aft, the design incorporates a multi-level beach club at the stern. Fold-out side terraces can expand this beach club, creating a sea-level oasis for sunbathing, lounging, and water sports. Just inside, a full wellness center is envisioned: sliding doors lead from the swim platform into a lower-deck spa and gym complex, equipped with a fitness room, sauna, and hammam steam room, plus fold-down balconies that let in sea breezes during a workout or massage. This focus on wellness reflects the owner’s desire for a true sanctuary – one can start the day with yoga at the water’s edge or unwind in the sauna after a day of cruising. On the sun deck, guests will find a panoramic social space with open-air dining, a bar, and Baglietto’s signature whirlpool spa tub nestled among sunpads – perfect for enjoying 360° views from atop the yacht. The bridge deck aft (upper deck terrace) provides a more intimate outdoor lounge with additional sunpads for quiet relaxation or sunset cocktails. Thanks to smart design, the yacht also houses a tender garage forward, which can store a 7m tender and an array of water toys out of sight, preserving the clean exterior lines while ensuring the Vesta56 is fully equipped for adventure. From movie nights in the upper-deck sky lounge to alfresco dinners on the aft deck, every inch of Vesta56 is purposed for enjoyment and comfort. Importantly, these spacious living areas have been achieved without compromising the yacht’s sleek profile – a testament to the careful balancing of volume and style in the design.
Performance & Technical Specifications
Despite being a concept, Vesta56 is designed around a proven Baglietto platform, promising robust performance for long-range cruising. The hull is a full-displacement steel design with an aluminum superstructure and teak decks, engineered for strength and stability. Baglietto has indicated it can leverage the technical backbone of a similar 56m custom project already under construction, which is scheduled for delivery in early 2027. This means the Vesta56 concept is not just a styling exercise – it is ready to be realized with existing naval architecture, allowing an owner to move from concept to cruising with confidence.
