Pitt Stop is a 2020 Palm Beach Motor Yachts PB55 which is powered by twin 725 hp Volvo D11s and is the only PB55 currently on the market equipped with conventional shaft propulsion, prized for its simplicity, durability, and ease of ownership. It has a cruise of 27 knots and a top speed around 33 knots. Notably, she, and is further enhanced by bow and stern thrusters for confident maneuvering. It’s located in Stuart, Florida, and offered by Grand Banks Yacht Sales for $2.495 million. 

Belowdecks, the forward stateroom features a split-bunk configuration forward that works equally well for couples, children or crew. To port, a flexible lounge area adds another layer of functionality, converting into a  single berth complete with its own television and refrigerator, ideal for extended cruising. On deck and throughout, Pitt Stop is outfitted with premium features including Humphree stabilizing fins, Starlink connectivity, a removable sun awning and concealed tender garage that allows you to easily launch the dinghy out over the swim platform.

According to the brokerage team at Grand Banks Yacht Sales, the vessel has many thoughtful upgrades, an intelligent use of space, and Palm Beach Motor Yachts’ renowned craftsmanship. They say, “Pitt Stop is a rare opportunity to own a PB55 that offers exceptional flexibility, comfort, and performance in a highly manageable package. It is fully equipped and ready to cruise today.”

Yachting previously wrote: “The Palm Beach 55 is the latest incarnation of the downeast-style lobster-boat-turned-yacht. There have been a number of predecessors, including those actually built somewhere in the Northeast. There have been some Down (Far) East versions built in the Orient, some Down (Over) East yachts built in Italy and a stylish Down West line from the Pacific Northwest, but this is the first Down Under lobster-yacht. And, as the Aussies say on her home turf, “she’s a right corker,” meaning something better than excellent.
